Distillery

The village Emponas is famous for its vineyards against the flank of the mountain Attaviros. It is logical that a tradition of wine-making and distillation of souma has been founded a long time ago. This tradition continues from generation to generation. This is also a fact in Empona View. The local souma is distilled in the cellar.

From the end of August until the end of October you can follow this special process in Empona View.
All visitors get an interesting tour and afterwards everyone can taste the freshly distilled soumas.

We offer souma with following flavors: natural, plum, pomegranate, lemon, citrus, cherry, mandarin, orange, bergamot, bay leaf, saffron, rosemary, basil, mint, mastic, thyme, lemon balm.
